We've been serving savory sausages to St. Louis, MO for more than 80 years.
It has recently become fashionable to label a product Artisan if it is made with care and has a quality no one else can replicate. At Piekutowski's European Sausage, it's just the way we have always done it.
Starting with Ted Piekutowski Sr., four generations of the Piekutowski family have been dedicated to maintaining the quality and tradition our customers have come to expect.
Ted started as an apprentice to the original sausage maker, with the promise that when he was ready, he would take over the business. In 1940, his hard work paid off, and we have been dedicated to carrying on his legacy ever since.
There are ways to make our sausage faster or cheaper, but we are committed to using the finest cuts of meat, natural casings, quality spices, and slow hickory smoke.
Because we are unwilling to sacrifice our heritage by cutting corners, our sausage has a difference you can taste. Try it and let us know. There will always be a Piekutowski there.
Love our sausage? You're not alone. Pope John Paul II tried our sausage in 1969 when he was still a cardinal. He liked it so much that he asked for it 30 years later when he visited St. Louis in 1999.
